Airgas will showcase its food innovations to reduce waste, avoid recalls and add sustainability elements to operational, transport and waste management processes at the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE).

Over the three-day event, customers will be able to learn how to control waste as well as the carbon intensity of food production processes by implementing processes such as treating wastewater generated on-site with CO2 instead of hazardous acids.

Freezing and packaging techniques that can be adopted to prevent spoilage, enhance food safety and reduce waste waste will also be showcased, as well as new transportation and delivery formats that will help customers solve efficiency challenges.

“Customers can look to Airgas not only for our breadth and depth of food industry products and expertise, but for emerging innovations and solutions that can help transform and optimise operations,” said Bill Baker, Vice-President of Business Development, Service Markets and Safety at Airgas.

“Working together, we can make modest enhancements with significant operational impact and find more sustainable ways to operate.”

IPPE attendees will be able to find Airgas at booth #B3851 in Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Centre from January 28th-30th.
