It’s all change at industrial gas corporation Westfalen AG as Dr. Meike Schäffler and Torsten Jagdt are encompassed into its Board of Directors.
Under her new role, Schäffler will lead a newly created Board division at Westfalen which will deal with human resources, IT and production, engineering and tank farms (PIT).
Schäffler has extensive knowledge in steel tube production and automotive engineering and trade following her position as Managing Director at Benteler Germany GmbH.
Her term took effect from 1st July 2016.
The second personnel shuffle sees Jagdt succeed Dr. Carsten Wilken as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who held the position for 16 years. A press release stated that Wilken’s resignation was “the course of a gradual generational change at his own request.”
Jagdt brings a wealth of international accounting and financing experience to the Germany-based corporation, after most recently serving as CFO at TROX GmbH in Neukirchen.
To keep the transition smooth, it is understood that Wilken will continue to work alongside Jagdt until the end of 2016.
Westfalen AG has declared that it is “back on the road to success” after revealing a mammoth increase in earnings before tax (EBT) revenue in its 2015 full-year financial results.
