Gas detection specialist Analox Sensor Technology is celebrating after clinching the small and medium-sized enterpise (SME) accolade at the Best Factory Awards 2016.
The judges were particularly impressed with Analox’s approach to continuous improvement as well as its managerial tactics, leading the Yorkshire-based business to land the ‘Best SME’ award at the awards ceremony, which took place on 14th October in Birmingham, UK.
Emma Harbottle, Operations Director at the UK-based business, enthused, “The award is a reflection of all the great work everyone is doing. All shortlisted manufacturing plants with less than 250 employees are eligible for this award, so competition in this category is extremely high.”
“This award is a testament to all the hard work which has taken place over the last few years”
Mark Lewis, Managing Director
Analox’s Managing Director Mark Lewis added, “Continuous improvement is at the heart of everything Analox does and this award is a testament to all the hard work which has taken place over the last few years.”
The company is no stranger to these awards, having previously won the ‘Health and Safety’ prize in 2012, as well as being highly commended for innovation in the same year.
The Best Factory Awards celebrates manufacturing excellence in the UK and is open to any manufacturing plant based within the country. Over 3,000 companies have taken part in the initiative since its inception in 1992.
