APA Group and Transit Systems have been named new members of Hydrogen Mobility Australia (HMA), Australia’s premier industry body committed to the development of a zero-emission economy.

APA Group, an energy infrastructure business, operates and maintains networks connecting 1.3m Australian homes and businesses to natural gas.

Transit Systems, an Australian-owned family business, operates innovative bus services across Australia as well as in Singapore and London.

Transit Systems’ Transition Director, Greg Balkin told gasworld, “Hydrogen Mobility Australia is the only industry body which looks at all aspects of the hydrogen supply chain, and our membership ensures we are at the forefront of the industry – across all elements of innovation, education and awareness.”

“We are excited to join HMA and showcase our Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus capabilities, given we have been successfully operating the UK’s largest hydrogen bus fleet since 2013,” said Balkin.

Other members of HMA include Air Liquide, BOC, Haskel, Nel Hydrogen and Toyota.

Hydrogen Mobility Australia’s vision is a hydrogen society built upon clean and renewable energy technology, including hydrogen powered transport.
