The service centre’s main tasks include training, consulting and service as well as maintenance and revision of existing and newly installed CO2 systems. In addition, Kryo carries out safety checks for ASCO.

ASCO Managing Director, Marco Pellegrino, calls the collaboration a strategic milestone, “Customer proximity is a key factor for long-term success in an industry. A local service offers considerable added value because it allows you to react promptly. So we are convinced that this future-oriented step will help us to improve operational safety and optimise maintenance costs for our customers in the English-speaking African countries. Not least, from an economic perspective the African continent is a promising future market.”

Stephen Viljoen, Managing Director at Kryo Africa, commented, “Our technicians have well-founded process knowledge in the field of CO2 plants and were also trained on the ASCO CO2 plant portfolio. So we are definitely the right partner for ASCO. Starting with the service to the maintenance, the replacement of spare parts or whole system modules – the customer is offered a one-stop service.”

The new ASCO service centre is also beneficial as it helps avoid time overlaps due to different time zones. Thanks to regular maintenance, customers can reduce their operating costs considerably and keep the plant to a high quality standard.

ASCO’s many African customers will be able to take advantage of the local service centre from the beginning of March.
