The new i-Series generation ASCO Dry Ice Pelletizer P55i from ASCO Carbon Dioxide Ltd boasts a production capacity of 550 kg/h and the ability to produce two identical or different pellet sizes simultaneously.
This ability is realised due to the machine’s compact and powerful design featuring two independent hydraulic units and pellet ejectors.
Equipped with a 12-inch Siemens touchscreen-control panel, the large display provides an overview of all production including machine data.
With its three different productions modes – non-stop production, preset quantity, and fully automatic in combination with another ASCO machine – a high degree of flexibility is afforded to the user.
After starting the machine, a smooth and continuous production is permitted via the automatic control of oil temperature and of the dry ice snowing process.
Speaking about the new product, Marco Pellegrino, Managing Director of ASCO, said, “With the new ASCO Dry Ice Pelletizer P55i, we are expanding the product portfolio for our customers with a very powerful yet compact machine.”
“At the same time, we offer maximum flexibility through the possibility of parallel production of different pellet sizes.”
In addition to the benefits of parallel production, the P55i is also equipped with state-of-the-art remote maintenance technology, offering remote access, remote data, and remote management capabilities, providing highly efficient troubleshooting and maintenance or data collection.
Alluding to dry ice benefits during the pandemic, Pellegrino continued, “Recently, dry ice as a cooling medium was very present in the media due to the Corona pandemic and its advantages were in the focus worldwide.”
“Many companies have invested in their own dry ice production facilities and now serve various industries with a wide range of requirement. For this, the P55i is the optimal solution.”
With so many industries requiring the use and constant supply of dry ice, a method of production independent from an external supplier can provide companies with many advantages, including cost-efficient just-in-time production, consistent dry ice quality, minimal logistical effort, and less dry ice loss due to sublimation.
Based on Industry 4.0 standards, the P55i can ensure a higher quality while shortening downtimes in production.
