Atlas Copco, a world-leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has agreed to acquire the cryogenic segment of Brooks Automation, Inc.
The acquisition includes cryo pump operations located in Chelmsford, USA and Monterrey, Mexico, a worldwide network of sales and service centres, and Brooks Automation’s 50% share of Ulvac Cryogenics, Inc., (UCI).
“The acquisition of Brooks Automation’s cryogenic business gives us access to new technologies and products and complements our current offering for semiconductor chamber solutions”, said Geert Follens, President of Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Technique business area.
