BCGA calls for hydrogen FCEVs to be more accessible in the UK

In a bid to tackle air pollution, the British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) is calling for more action to give public and private sector motorists access to hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles in the UK.

The national trade body said the vehicles are in pole position to make an immediate impact on air quality, but without a national fuelling infrastructure in place, their use will be limited in the UK.

A major Clean Air Summit was held in London last week (14th Feb) which called on politicians to put a stop to air pollution by signing up to new powers and funding for local leaders in the form of a £1.5bn government fund to take polluting vehicles off the UK’s streets and improve air quality.
