Early morning, bright and breezy and the BCGA 2010 Conference is now getting underway in the UK, where a number of major breakthroughs are in store for attentive delegates at the event.

One of the most progressive events on the UK gases industry’s calendar, the British Compressed Gases Association’s 2010 conference is today taking place in Manchester, UK.

The Marriot Worsley Park Hotel and Country Club is the welcoming venue, and key figures from throughout the industrial gas community have already taken their seats in the hotel’s conference suite.

Notable external representation has been secured and these will include the Hydrogen Association, EIGA, VOSA, and the Carbon Capture & Storage Association.

Coverage of REACH will now be covered in Steve Elliott’s presentation rather than it’s original scheduling in TC2, while the BCGA also introduces a new ‘green’ string to its bow with the presentation of TSC8, a new environment-focused technical committee. Hydrogen fuel cell announcements are expected, as well as other exciting developments.

Evening entertainments will conclude an informative and enjoyable day’s work, as is customary for the annual BCGA conference.

gasworld is attending the event and for those that can’t make it today, will provide a full review in our June 2010 issue.
