The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) has published a new Guidance Note 34 which gives comprehensive advice on the safe use of gases in the steel industry.
The document, developed with UK Steel, the trade association for the UK steel industry, provides guidance on the use of externally supplied gases at steel production sites. Including advice on design, storage, handling, maintenance, use and gas quality.
The publication also details the design and maintenance of pipelines, pipework and equipment.
GN34 – The safe use of gases in the steel industry: 2018 can be downloaded free of charge in the publications area of the BCGA website.
