As part of a programme to reduce its environmental impact, leading industrial gases provider BOC, part of The Linde Group, has entered into a three year agreement with Veolia Environmental Services.
The new agreement will focus on measures to minimise waste and to achieve environmental best practice at BOC sites around the UK.
As part of BOC’s SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) strategy, the programme will emphasise the progressive process described in the waste hierarchy: reduce, re-use, recycle and dispose.
Comprehensive reporting of recycling and treatment solutions will give the company a national picture of waste management performance from a single source.
The service will be tailored to the individual needs of BOC’s extensive site network, which ranges from large manufacturing facilities, to smaller office units. It includes the collection, recycling, treatment and disposal of dry, liquid and hazardous waste.
