BOC Gases and Northeast Biofuels have established a contract for BOC to purchase carbon dioxide from Northeast Biofuels new ethanol production facility in New York State.

Northeast Biofuels will begin construction of a new $152 million ethanol production facility on the former site of Miller Brewing, Riverview Business Park in July 2005. The facility is expected to have a production capacity of 100 million gallons of ethanol per year.

Carbon dioxide is produced as a by-product during the production of ethanol and BOC plan to construct a $14 million carbon dioxide liquefaction plant adjacent to the proposed ethanol plant.

Once the ethanol production facility reaches full capacity, Northeast Biofuels will be the largest producer of carbon dioxide in the northeast of America.

BOC Gases Vice President of Product Marketing Stan Borowiee said, \\$quot;We are pleased to participate in this project, which is a win-win for the partners and the residents of New York State. We look forward to being a part of the community.\\$quot;
