Kent Masters, former CEO of Foster Wheeler and current non-exec Director of AMEC Foster Wheeler, will be the opening keynote speaker for gasworld’s second Europe Industrial Gas Conference - which takes place in Budapest, Hungary, this May.

Masters served as a member of the Executive Board at The Linde Group AG from 2006 – 2011, with responsibility for the Global Business Unit Healthcare and the Business Area Merchant & Packaged Gases. He joined the company as a result of Linde’s acquisition of The BOC Group, where he had been Chief Executive, Industrial and Special Products and a member of the Board of Directors.

Masters will be speaking about the European Industrial Gases market from an outside perspective. The conference, entitled, “Two Markets, One Goal” will look at emerging trends within East and West Europe, examining the market developments and the overall aim of both regions – profitability.

Delegates are invited to participate in three days of dynamic activity, including a cutting edge-conference featuring prestigious speakers, dedicated exhibition time, and valuable networking opportunities.

Speakers already confirmed include keynote speaker Bertrand Saraux, Industrial Merchant Director Eastern Europe at Air Liquide, Mathieu Amar, Commercial Director at Yara Industrial, and Jennifer Lovell, Enterprise Category Manager Industrial Gases at Shell Industrial Gases.

gasworld welcomes both national and international delegates to meet together to discuss the latest industry innovations. The audience will include gas distributors, major and smaller gas companies, and gas equipment manufacturers.

John Raquet, Publisher at gasworld said, “gasworld last visited the region in 2010 when Kiev, Ukraine, was the venue for discussion and debate concerning the trends, challenges and potential of the Eastern Europe industrial gas business. Leading on from this event, gasworld’s 2015 conference will explore the developments and opportunities within the wider European market since then. We will be shining the spotlight on the continent by inviting a host of prestigious speakers to take to the stage to discuss both the Eastern and Western Europe industrial gas businesses. We welcome delegates to take away a toolkit of industry information, new ideas and knowledge to help them adapt their strategies for future growth and profitability.”

The much-anticipated event will take place at the Flamenco Hotel, Budapest, from the 10th – 12th May 2015.

Booking is now available for delegate places. Anyone looking to attend the conference is encouraged to take advantage of the Early Bird delegate rates. The Early Bird rate will finish on the 17th April 2015.
