Brussels will be the venue for this year's EIGA Workshop in June, after the European association announced its theme and preliminary programme for the upcoming event - which will focus on the REACH regulation and the impact of this on the gases industry.

The one-day EIGA workshops are organised yearly and open not only to EIGA members, but for all interested representatives from national authorities, customers and suppliers of industrial gas companies, through to product safety specialists and many others. This year's event, which will take plae on 26th June, will provide an insight into the new REACH legislation and its associated impacts on the industrial gas industry and supply chain.

A Welcome Dinner for all speakers and moderators will take place on the evening prior to the workshop, with Chairman of the event, Mark D. Begg of Air Products, believed to be expecting around 100 experts from EIGA member companies throughout Europe to take part and evoke lively discussion during the day.

According to the preliminary programme announced by the association, speakers will be in attendance from major gases companies such as Air Liquide, Praxair, Air Products, Messer, The Linde Group, and Yara and will discuss everything from the requirements of the REACH regulation to the business impact, data gathering and communication in the supply chain.

Titled 'REACH-GHS: Are we ready?' the day will be presided over and moderated by a number of EIGA officials and will close with the conclusion of Workshop Chairman and Air Products' Begg.
