Systems specialist Burckhardt Compression has hired a new President Systems Division and member of the Executive Management.
Equipped with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Edinburgh University, Andreas Brautsch will succeed current CEO Fabrice Billard on 1st October, 2022.
Having spent more than 20 years working for international industrial companies such as Hitachi Energy, ABB, General Electric, Alstom Power, and Siemens, Brautsch is considered a ‘strong leader’ by Billard.

Brautsch’s most recent employment saw him as Group Vice President and Global Leader of the Switchgear Business at Hitachi Energy.
Billard replaced previous CEO Marcel Pawlicek in November 2021, having led the company’s Systems business since 2016.
