CarbonCure Technologies CEO, Robert Niven, was recognised as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40’s, a dynamic award programme that identifies outstanding young achievers in Canadian business.
The award recognises in particular, Niven’s achievements in founding and scaling CarbonCure Technologies – a retrofit process which reuses CO2, to enhance the sustainability and profitability of the global concrete and cement sector.
Previous recipients of this award include notable Canadians such as; Bill Moreau Morneau, Minister of Finance; George Cope, President and CEO; Bell Canada Enterprises; Julie Payette, Astronaut; Jordan Banks, CEO, Facebook Canada and Christine Magee, President, Sleep Country Canada.
Niven’s success comes within the same year that he was awarded the Ernest C. Manning Innovation Award and the CarbonCure team was selected as a semi-finalist in the $20m global NRG COSIA XPRIZE competition.
