Carburos Metálicos, Spanish industrial and medicinal gases company and part of the Air Products Group, provided a training course on the management of medical gases in hospitals for engineers, technical professionals and hospital maintenance personnel.
The course, ‘Management of Medical Gases in Hospitals’, served to publicise the requirements for the design of medical gas installations in hospitals, the applicable legislation, CE marking, as well as the maintenance of said facilities. The new medicinal gases available in the market were also addressed, as well as their applications and the specific management requirements.
The course was organised and sponsored by Carburos Metálicos and was taught at the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Madrid over three days in January. The venue hosted 20 engineers from different public and private hospitals within the Madrid community. The course has been endorsed by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.
