Industrial and medicinal gas company Carburos Metálicos, part of the Air Products Group is currently exhibiting its hydrogen related mobility technology at the Green Gas Mobility Summit being held in Madrid, Spain today (September 22nd).

The ‘hybrid’-style summit is being held both virtually and face-to-face and intends to showcase the ability for hydrogen (H2) to help decarbonise the atmosphere through transport.

At the event itself the company is demonstrating a car powered by sustainable H2 produced by the company itself, along with a portable hydrogenator.

The event will also serve as an advertisement for its new H2-focused LinkedIn profile.

Carburos Metálicos’ credentials in the H2 industry includes its supply of renewable H2 to a Madrid hydrogeneration plant, capable of supplying H2 at 700-bar pressure. In addition, the company participated in a test held by the City Council of Oviedo, Spain, to establish the first renewable H2-powered urban bus line.

Stating that the company is focusing on the promotion of hydrogen for mobility, Miquel Lope, General Director, Carburos Metálicos, also said, “We share the vision of a decarbonised world that makes economic growth compatible with caring for the planet.”

“And in order to achieve the energy transition, the collaboration of all the actors in volved is required.”
