The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) has appointed Sarah Saunders as its new Director of Marketing and Communications at the trade association.

Having previously worked as an independent marketing and communications consultant, Saunders has worked with trade associations and other non-profits in business, high tech, financial services, and environmental conservation.

“We’re excited to have Sarah join our team,” said Richards Gottwald, CGA’s President and CEO.

“As a skilled marketing and communications veteran, Sarah brings the expertise and vision necessary to position CGA as a leading authority for safety information about the industrial, medical, and food gases industry – helping ensure that all those who come in contact with our members’ products use them in a safe and responsible manner,” said Gottwald.

In the late 2000s, Saunders led science communications for one of the world’s largest international marine research programmes. Saunders has more than 20 years of experience in private sector sales and marketing.

Saunders has an MBA from Georgetown University, a BA in English, and a BFA in Theatre from Southern Methodist University.
