Cryogenic equipment manufacturer Chart is celebrating over 25 years since it pioneered the concept of cryogenic ISO shipping containers and delivered its first units.
Chart initially developed the 20ft and 40ft vessels to transport atmospheric and industrial gases safely, economically and conveniently. Today, the company uses these vessels to transport goods by road, rail and sea.
They are now widely used for liquefied natural gas (LNG) applications as well, and have become key components in the company’s small-scale LNG solutions.
A spokesperson enthused, “Some of those earliest items are still in service today and it is their reliability, durability and our continued technical innovation that ensures Chart products remain the industry benchmark.”
