Chart Industries has made changes in its sales team to better support its customer base and the growth in CO2 market. Additionally, Chart has filled a key management position in its distribution and storage (D&S) business segment.
Tom Chromy, current Northeast Sales Manager for the Independent Distributors will become the National Sales Manager for bulk CO2 applications. Chromy has been with Chart for over 35 years where he has developed an extensive knowledge and contact base in the CO2 market. With the CO2 applications getting stronger in the market, Chromy’s focus will help promote Chart’s equipment in these applications across the US.
Chromy’s replacement as the Northeast Sales Manager will be David Vaughan. Vaughan has recently supported vacuum insulated pipe (VIP) sales for Chart over the last four years and is excited to fill the big shoes of his predecessor. Vaughan brings with him a wealth of experience in VIP applications and the engineered tank systems market, where he was an early sales rep for Chart.
Chris Schmoeckel has been promoted to the President of D&S America’s. Schmoeckel has been employed by Chart since 2001 and recently held the title: Vice-President of Packaged Gases Americas. In this previous role, Schmoeckel managed the production of the Ball Ground, GA packaged gases manufacturing site. In his new role, Schmoeckel will continue his responsibilities of the GA site as well as the New Prague, Minnesota site, where mobiles and bulk storage equipment are produced.
