DataOnline, provider of IoT (Industrial Internet of Things) solutions, has announced Chief Operating Officer Chet Reshamwala will be made Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st January, 2019.
Reshamwala will succeed founder and current CEO Martin Adams, who will transition to a strategic business development role, where he will focus on building key account relationships and helping customers improve safety, efficiency, and the customer experience.
“As founders, Rob and I are thrilled to be passing the leadership of the business we established nearly 30 years ago to an accomplished, dynamic leader like Chet,” said Adams.
“He brings the knowledge, enthusiasm, and vision that will extend our industry leadership and carry DataOnline into our next chapter as a global authority in IIoT.”
Chet is an experienced global technology executive who has led major strategic business units serving the automotive, industrial, semiconductor and IIoT industries. He began his career at Texas Instruments, now Sensata Technologies, as a design engineer, moving up through a variety of leadership roles.
“This is an outstanding company and I consider it a huge honour to be selected to take the company forward and build on the solid foundation and momentum we have already achieved under Martin’s and Rob’s leadership,” said Reshamwala.
DataOnline President and founder Rob Barnacle said: “As COO, Chet has been instrumental in driving continuous improvement in sales, customer service, technical support, and manufacturing operations, as well as helping execute a successful integration with our recent acquisitions of Wikon and Independent Technologies. We believe he is the perfect choice to lead the new consolidated business.”
