Industrial gases will next week be a topic for debate among leading specialists, at a forthcoming conference taking place in New York.

The 19th Annual Citi Chemicals Conference, which will start on 2nd December, 2008, will comprise senior figures from within the gas industry, who will address individuals about the current situation and future of gas.

Two of the largest industrial gas businesses in North America will be represented at the conference.

Stephen F. Angel, Chairman, President and CEO of Praxair, Inc. will be addressing the conference and will be discussing Praxair’s growth strategies and business outlook.

Praxair is the largest industrial gases company in North and South America and one of the biggest worldwide. Praxair products, services and technologies bring productivity and environmental benefits to a wide variety of industries, including aerospace, chemicals, food and beverages, electronics, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, metals and others.

Meanwhile, Airgas CEO Peter McCausland will also be presenting at the conference.

More than 14,000 people are employed by Airgas, which is one of US leading distributors of safety products, nitrous oxide, dry ice, liquid carbon dioxide and a leading distributor of process chemicals, refrigerants and ammonia products.
