gasworld’s CO2 Summit is getting underway in Innsbruck, Austria, with around 100 delegates dedicated to the carbon dioxide (CO2) space gathering to discover the latest movements in the industry.

Hosted at the stunning Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol in the heart of the Alps, the Summit on the Slopes event will discover and discuss the hottest topics in the CO2 sector.

gasworld Business Intelligence estimates that the European CO2 market has been growing steadily at a rate of 1.5-2% in recent years, and is currently worth approximately €1.5bn ($1.6bn).

But with prospective supply capacities hinging on the industry’s fluctuating supply and demand balance and varying economics, the Summit aims to decode how companies in the industrial gas industry can navigate their way toward maximising these opportunities.

The event will explore the key trends and opportunities in the CO2 supply chain today; from new and alternative sourcing channels to evolving production technologies and the development of end-user applications.

gasworld Publisher and CEO John Raquet has kick-started proceedings with an official introduction, which will now be followed by a variety of keynote speakers, setting the scene and honing in on the hot topics in the CO2 industry.

He opened the event, stating, “It is fantastic to see so many familiar faces in attendance from our regular industrial gas conferences, as well as an array of new companies. We hope the day proves insightful, interesting and thought-provoking for you all.”
