ACME Cryogenics has installed a significant portable medical oxygen supply system for Air Products at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre temporary hospital in Queens, New York City.
Last week, gasworld reported that industrial gas giant Air Products had delivered a medical oxygen tank, a reserve tank and vaporisers to the 350-bed hospital in order to help those suffering from the coronavirus pandemic.
Over the weekend, in a social post, ACME Cryogenics announced that its Field Service Northeast Team & Northeast Services New Jersey Team had been working to install the system at the tennis centre.
Commenting on the installation, ACME Cryogenics said, “The installation had some difficulties because of the limited overhead access in the tennis park. The installation required ingenuity by the Acme team to get the equipment installed a less than typical arrangement.”
“Horizontal liquid oxygen storage tanks set on flatbed trailers & vaporizers are laying down on steel I beams creating a long, narrow equipment arrangement that is now completely piped up & functionally excellently supplying Medical Oxygen to the temporary hospital.”
