Coronavirus: Honeywell to produce hand sanitiser

Honeywell has announced plans to temporarily shift its manufacturing operations at two of its facilities to produce and donate hand sanitiser to government agencies in response to shortages created by the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the next two months the company’s Muskegon, Michigan, and Seelze, Germany, sites will manufacturer the sanitiser in an effort to help meet demands.

“As global citizens, we are honoured to be able to answer the call for help in hopes of minimising the spread of this pandemic,” said Rajeev Gautam, President and CEO of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies.

“When called upon to help, our team rushed to transform production lines to produce hand sanitiser for areas where it is most urgently needed.”
