Air Liquide is closely monitoring the evolution of the coronavirus crisis in all countries in which the company is present.
Addressing Air Liquide’s shareholders, Chairman and CEO Benoît Potier said he is confident in Air Liquide’s ability to face and overcome this phase of its history.
“Health and safety have always been Air Liquide’s top priorities,” Potier said in a statement.
“From the outset, we have implemented measures to protect efficiently the health of our employees, patients, customers and partners.”
“Strict protocols and work organisation adjustments have been put in place and will be adapted according to the evolution of the situation.”
“Simultaneously, the continuity of our activities to serve industry and healthcare is organised to ensure the best possible response to the needs of our customers and patients, wherever the Group is present.”
Potier said in healthcare especially, Air Liquide’s teams are fully mobilised.
“This is an essential and critical activity in the current context, be it through the production and delivery of oxygen, the supply of medical equipment or home healthcare.”
“In France, as in other countries, every possible effort is being made to provide hospitals and patients at home with the medical gases, oxygen solutions and ventilation devices that are essential in the management of the COVID-19 epidemic.”
“In this context of unseen health crisis, I can assure you that the commitment of the Management and employees of the Group, both globally and locally, is unwavering.”
“Throughout its history, your Group has already gone through external crises. We have always been able to overcome them, thanks to the mobilisation and professionalism of our employees, the strength of our business model, and your loyalty as shareholders.”
“Our business fundamentals and long-term vision are particularly strong assets. I am confident in our ability to face and overcome this phase of our history.”
