Further to feedback concerning the recent Cryogenic Pumps equipment profile, gasworld would like to apologise for the following author errors.

While the article starts with the following sentence, “A cryogenic pump is a submersible motor pump used in cryogenic temperatures to transfer cryogenic fluids,” this is not the case.

It should be pointed out that a cryogenic pump is not systematically a submersible motor pump; it is in fact a submersible motor pump (also known as a submerged motor pump) and is never used with liquid oxygen.

The equipment profile, published in the February 2010 issue of gasworld magazine, was written by regular feature writer Yogender Malik.

As a further note, gasworld would like to point out that it in no way favours, sides with or intentionally provides a bias to any particular company.
