To get an idea of how the craft brew business continues its stride in Minnesota, Thea Bunde and Michelle Michaud, of Toll Company, got some insight from Lauren Bennett McGinty, the Executive Director from the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild (MCBG).
Toll has its own share of experience, as it provides process package gases to many of the brewers in the Minneapolis-St Paul metropolitan area. In addition to package gases, Toll provides bulk carbon dioxide (CO2) tanks and pipeline delivery systems, as well as CO2 atmosphere monitoring. From small start-ups to the large volume brewer, Toll assists with beverage gas brewing requirements.
The MCBG currently has 150 members of the 180 total brewers in the state of Minnesota. When the MCBG was founded, there were less than 10 active craft breweries.
