Diversified metal processing company, Worthington Industries, has announced a price hike on all its non-refillable refrigerant cylinders produced at its manufacturing facilities.
Prices will increase by 10% and will affect shipments from 1st September 2016.
Dusty McClintock, Vice-President and General Manager of the US-based business’ pressure cylinders business, stated, “Steel material prices have increased significantly over the past several months.”
“Every effort has been made to minimise the impact of rising raw material costs. However, recent raw material pricing has significantly escalated out production costs and we must adjust accordingly.”
Air Products, a Tier One company, has announced a price increase for liquid and bulk industrial gas products for its merchant customers in North America.
Worthington Industries has named Mark Russell the interim President of its Pressure Cylinders business following the resignation of Andy Billman.
