Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) is continuing to make great moves in the LNG space, having recently (16th Dec) placed an order for four new liquified natural gas (LNG) carriers from GTT.
A technological expert in containment systems with cryogenic membranes used to transport and store liquefied gases, GTT has said it will deliver the ordered vessels in 2024 and 2025.
Under the terms of the order GTT will provide the design and associated engineering services for the vessels, which will each offer a capacity of 174,000m3.
It is believed each of the carriers will be fitted with a GTT NO96 L03 membrane system, a technology developed by GTT.
No further details on the deal were disclosed.
