A marketing agency that works to promote sustainability is celebrating its 18th anniversary – by trialing one of the country’s only hydrogen-fuelled cars for two weeks.

Diva Creative was established in 1997 and has since grown to become a leading agency in sustainable travel marketing, winning numerous awards for campaigns with clients from Newcastle to London.

One of those clients, energy storage and clean fuel company ITM Power, recently launched the UK’s first public-access wind hydrogen refuelling station in South Yorkshire, and is marking the landmark occasion by trialing its Hyundai ix35 fuel cell electric vehicle to Diva for a two-week period.

The Yorkshire-based agency will trial the practically silent, zero-emissions car by using it for a number of business journeys and meetings across England during the first two weeks of October.

Amanda Pearce, Director at Diva Creative, said, “Diva has always been an ethically minded company that selects briefs, suppliers and partners who share our views on the environment and sustainability.”

“Not only does it make sense for us to recognise that in celebrating our 18 years of success, but leasing a hydrogen-fuelled car also makes business sense, with lower fuel bills and parking costs, not to mention a reduced carbon footprint.”

“We are hopeful that our use of the Hyundai will demonstrate that clean fuel technologies can be commercially viable for other organisations. Hydrogen-fuelled vehicles are not just the future of transport – they are the present, too.”

Dr. Graham Cooley, CEO, ITM Power commented, “We are delighted that Diva Creative are undertaking this significant trial of the Hyundai ix35 FCEV and using our recently opened M1 refuelling station. Diva’s excellence as a sustainability agency makes them the perfect trial partner. We are looking forward to Amanda’s feedback.”
