UK-based manufacturer Edwards has launched a new battery powered, easy-to-use handheld vacuum gauge with direct on-board display of measured pressure, which it says is ideal for on-site service calls and in-situ pressure checking.
The P3 handheld vacuum measuring system has been designed to provide mobile and fixed pressure measurement for installations of all kinds, including service, maintenance, universities or laboratory applications.

The Piezo Pirani sensor enables pressure measurement of all common gas types, in the range of 1200 to 5x10-4 mbar. With the integrates battery, the device can be attached and operated at any pressure point, and directly display or store up to 2000 values – all data values sorted can be exported via USB.
Dave Goodwin, Senior Product Manager at Edwards, said, “The device is simple to use and ready to go, and with no need for separate controller or power supply, it is perfect for quickly checking vacuum installations and pump performance.”
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
