EIGA award for Scott Specialty Gases

The European headquarters and manufacturing facility of Scott Specialty Gases, located in Breda, the Netherlands, has recently been honoured for its safety achievements as it was awarded the European Industrial Gases Association’s (EIGA) Peter J. Jackson Safety Award for 2006.

Named in honour of Peter J. Jackson, former chairman of EIGA’s Safety Advisor Group, the award is presented to the EIGA member company with the best improvement in work related injury rate, based on a 5 year period.

Hans van de Donk, regional vice-president for Scott Specialty Gases, BV, stated, “This safety award is a testament not only to the diligence of individual Scott Team members here in Breda, but also to our dedication to safety as a company. Protecting the well-being of Scott Team members is a priority, and so is providing the guidance our customers depend on for safe handling of specialty gases.”

Scott’s Breda facility is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing and calibration laboratory, manufacturing and selling metrology level-2 reference materials as well as many other specialty gases.
