Based in Belgium, the European Industrial Gases Association (EIGA) earlier this month concluded its in-person Summer Session 2022.
By cooperating with its member companies, the organisation aims to uphold and improve technical, safety, and environmental matters when handling industrial, medical, and food gases.
Having been forced to hold the event’s previous two iterations virtually, EIGA has recounted its most recent in-person event, the Summer Session - held in Valencia, Spain. During the event, EIGA brought together over 100 participants to discuss a range of topics for the association, including statutes, budgets, and strategies.
“It is meant for members only as an ideal opportunity to engage at high level and feel the vibrant energy which drives our industrial gases sector,“ revealed Philippe Cornille, General Secretary, EIGA.
In addition to relevant discussion, decisions regarding the future of the organisation were also made, including the increase of EIGA’s membership fee.
Alongside discussion, the Summer Session celebrates the achievements of its member companies, such as Nippon Gases, which won four awards at the Annual General Meeting for its work in safety and environmental performance.
