EIGA reveals new president for 2009 and 2010

The European Industrial Gases Association (EIGA), based in Brussels, Belgium, has announced that Stefan Messer resigned in November 2008 in his function as EIGA President due to his severe cancer illness.

Owner and CEO of the Messer Group GmbH in Germany, Messer will now be succeeded by Air Liquide’s Guy Salzgeber.

As successor in this position the previous Vice-President Salzgeber, Vice-President of Air Liquide’s European Operations, stepped in on a short-term basis.

His term of office will run until the end of December 2010.
