Western Energy Services Corp, a Calgary-based oil and gas field services company, has revealed it will increase the size of its US-based nitrogen pumping rig fleet by around 50% following the recently-completed purchase of new equipment.

The company indicated of late that the nitrogen pumping and transportation equipment will be financed by company borrowing through its US-based commercial bank and the developments may then commence.

Jim McQuarrie, President and CEO of Western Energy Services Corp, commented, “The current distressed market for oilfield services in Canada is a significant opportunity to acquire quality equipment at a fraction of what we would have paid to have it built. This equipment will be immediately deployed to our new operations centre in Ashdown, Ark.”
