gasworld’s Europe Industrial Gas Conference is getting underway in Düsseldorf, Germany, discussing and discovering innovative areas in which to generate growth across the region.
More than 180 delegates from 28 countries have congregated at the Hilton Hotel for the event, ready to discuss and discover the prospective areas for development throughout Europe’s industrial gas industry under the theme of ‘Carving Out Growth.’
Europe’s market, despite witnessing a small contraction, remained relatively stable in 2015 and showed a slight but positive growth. On the whole, the industrial gases market across both Eastern and Western Europe is worth an estimated €15.7bn ($17.4bn) – with this conference examining the innovation required to grab a slice of this diverse market.
Additionally, the looming EU referendum and ‘Brexit’ debates have left many in the industrial gases industry guessing as to where the next wave of growth will come from, and indeed what challenges it could bring.
The conference has fallen at an opportune moment to identify where opportunities exist within the European industrial gas sector and will discuss how companies can maximise these opportunities to generate future development in the market.
Over the course of the next two-days, a cutting-edge agenda packed with speeches from industry insiders and experts will explore the possibilities for future advancements across the continent and where the innovation lies to grab hold of this growth.
gasworld CEO and Publisher, John Raquet, has kick-started proceedings with an official introduction, which will now be followed by a variety of keynote speakers, setting the scene and honing in on the hot topics within the European industry.
He opened the conference, stating, “A very warm welcome to our conference – our third in Europe but a first in Western Europe! I would personally like to thank you all for travelling from across Europe, as well as from several regions around the world.”
“I hope you not only enjoy the conference and the pleasant Düsseldorf surroundings, but return home richer in knowledge and with new contacts, friendships and business.”
A variety of industry specialists will deliver engaging speeches throughout the first day of the conference, including:
Day two of the conference will focus on the growth divers in the region’s healthcare and environment sectors, as well as highlighting rising innovative technologies throughout the area.
