Around 100 exhibitors will present the latest in hydrogen production and technology in the US next year.
Hydrogen Expo US will take place in March in Long Beach, California, one of the pioneering states in introducing clean energy technologies, as part of the National Hydrogen Association’s Annual Hydrogen Conference.
Exhibits will include hydrogen generators, storage vessels, hydrogen engine technology, fuel cell materials and components and complete systems for home heating and power supply, auxiliary power units, portable fuel cell systems and fuel cell vehicles.
BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Honda and Quantum will be among the manufacturers to display vehicles and exhibitors such as Air Products, BOC, Chevron, and Linde will present hydrogen fuel production and supply chain technology. Fuel cell developers will include Hydrogenics and UTC Fuel Cells who manufacture hydrogen fueled systems for stationary and mobile applications.
A spokesman for the show said: “Launched in the United States in 2003, Hydrogen Expo US has become the leading showcase for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in North America. It is an important meeting place for the industry and at the same time provides an opportunity for laymen to see, test and feel leading-edge energy systems.
He added: “Because of the 2005 event’s great success in Washington, DC, more than 60 per cent of the exhibit space for Hydrogen Expo US is already sold.”
The NHA’s conference will be run under the motto ‘Global progress toward clean energy’ and organisers say it will encompass five days of technical, business and visionary sessions as well as targeted workshops and award programs. There will also be a seminar forum run by Hydrogen Expo US which will give exhibitors the opportunity to present their developments from a commercial perspective.
