FABTECH 2018 will attract a staggering 35,000 attendees from around the world, with over 1,600 exhibiting companies, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta this week (November 6 to 8).

North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event provides a platform for the industry to discover innovation, share ideas and participate in hands-on product demonstrations that highlight solutions attendees need to accelerate and grow their business.

New products will be unveiled during the week and booth visitors can experience equipment at first hand through live welding demonstrations.

gasworld will be there to provide a review of the trade show at the end of the week.

The new Smart Manufacturing Hub will have displays and daily presentations by companies such as Acieta, Desktop Metal, Microsoft and Stratasys on advanced manufacturing technologies including automation, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and 3D printing. Technical presentations from industry-leading smart technology providers will provide insight on recent developments in this rapidly evolving field.

An expanded 3D/Additive Manufacturing Pavilion will introduce an Ask the Experts Knowledge Bar featuring small group sessions.

Speakers on day one include: Dennis Adamovich, CEO, College Football Hall of Fame; Julia Crews, Sr. Change Management Training Consultant, Ignite Women Leaders Founder; Charlie Covert, VP of Customer Solutions, UPS; Shawn Cole, Vice President, Delta Cargo, Delta Air Lines, Inc.; Dan Kara, Vice President, Robotics, WTWH; Eric Wilson, Head of Global Sales at Delta Cargo; and Aaron Kaufmann, Shifting Gears (Discovery Channel), Owner, Arclight Fabrication.

Days two and three will feature additional keynote presentations that will provide attendees with insights into the industry and how to approach challenges in creative, innovative ways. NASCAR Icon and Philanthropist, Kyle Petty, will take the FABTECH audience on an anecdotal journey through his life as a businessman, philanthropist and as one of NASCAR’s most respected drivers.

Education sessions are offered for attendees with a range of experience levels – from those new to the industry to those in need of a refresher, or veteran attendees with years of experience who are seeking more in-depth training.
