Fluid Components International (FCI) has introduced its latest MT100 series multipoint thermal mass flow meter.
MT100 series flow meter
The MT100 series is an insertion type, multipoint thermal flow meter specifically designed for large diameter pipes, such as stacks and flues, and large rectangular ducts, such as air feed intakes and HVAC. These large pipe/duct applications are difficult for ordinary flow meters because of distorted flow profiles and lack of straight-run that can lead to inaccurate and non-repeatable flow measurement.
FCI’s MT100 places up to eight flow sensing points in the flow stream and averages them which results in a highly accurate and repeatable flow rate measurement. Unlike other large pipe flow meters, the MT100 has no moving parts or orifices to foul or clog.
The MT100 meter sensors can be installed either across a mast or can be inserted at multiple points around the process line in a single plane. In large stack applications, this means that the instrument installation can be done at a single platform location to achieve a major cost savings over other technologies such as ultrasonic meter, which require installing transducers at precise offset angles.
All MT100 series flow meters have been independently tested and verified to meet and comply with IEC safety directives for EMC and LVD, and carry the CE marking.
Now featuring an all-welded, no-thread flow element connection for superior reliability, the new Model ST100L Air/Gas In-Line Thermal Mass Flow Meter from Fluid Components International (FCI) provides accurate flow measurement in the most demanding high-pressure industrial operating environments.
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
