I’ve been asked to pen my thoughts on a number of anniversaries or key milestones for gasworld through the years, and it’s always both a sobering and enriching experience.
It can be easy to forget some of the big interviews along the way, some of the friendly faces we’ve met and shared stories with, and some of the collective experiences we’ve enjoyed all around the world. So making the time to look back, remember some of the key sentiments and adventures, and generally reminisce is always such a rewarding opportunity.
Those reflections can also serve as a great reminder of some of the intricate details of M&A that we may have forgotten along the way, or the journey some companies and individuals have been on, or perhaps even an application or market that we don’t talk about quite so frequently anymore.
There’s no escaping the other reminder these reflections provide – of your own advancing years! As gasworld marks 20 years of business this year, I pause for a moment to think that I’ve been here for 16 of those…and there’s a lot more grey hairs these days!
