John Miao, President of the THPGIA and also Managing Director of Linde Lienhwa in Taiwan (pictured right), gave an opening speech to welcome the audience and expressed his appreciation for the efforts – and funding – of the various organisations that co-organised the seminar, and also to the speakers who shared their knowledge. He expressed hope that the attendees would learn a lot from the seminar and could prevent incidents in the future.
