2022: The year Luxfer Group celebrates 125 years of business and 10 years on the New York Stock Exchange – a long way from where the business originally began creating glass prism tiles to direct sunlight into dark interior spaces. This year of innovation comes at a time when the engineering and manufacturing specialist is spearheading ambitious growth plans in North America and is striving to supply its global customer base with an unrivalled product portfolio.  

2022 also marks a year of succession changes for Luxfer Group, as it welcomes a new CEO, and Luxfer Gas Cylinders gains a new Vice-President and General Manager of the North American division and a new Vice-President and General Manager of the European division. In May (2022), Andrew Butcher assumed the CEO role, after the company’s previous CEO, Alok Maskara, handed over the reins in pursuit of another opportunity. Having served as President of Luxfer Gas Cylinders since 2014, and been part of the company since 1991, Butcher’s appointment was a well-earnt one.

Focusing specifically on North American operations, in May (2022) Howard Mead also assumed a new role as Vice-President and General Manager of Luxfer Composite. Responsible for the overall success of all aspects of the Luxfer Composite business in North America, Mead is now overlooking operations in Luxfer’s facilities in Riverside and Pomona, California and the facility in Calgary, Canada.
