Blue hydrogen ‘still a risk’ despite low volumes
As the global hydrogen economy accelerates, the number of blue hydrogen and ammonia projects reaching final investment decision (FID) continues to grow.
Yet, according to a recent long-term outlook from research consultancy Wood Mackenzie, the pace of commercial contracting is failing to keep up. This creates growing risk for projects that aspire to serve global export markets.
Speaking during a recent webinar, the several analysts outlined a cautious but data-rich forecast for low-carbon hydrogen and its derivatives to 2050.
