Built to endure: LNG’s place in the energy transition and HEROSE’s role in the global valves market

It’s been a big year for Germany’s the HEROSE Group. 1st April 2023 marked its 150th anniversary, a whole century-and-a-half since foundry foreman Theodor Rose established a factory for shipbuilding and domestic engineering on 1st April 1873 and laid the groundworks for a true global innovator in valves and related technologies. 

An intrepid technology leader that would not only stand the test of time, but be perfectly positioned for the most important challenge of our time – clean energy and sustainability.

It was back in 1941 when the HEROSE name first came to be, the successful product of Rose’s acquisition of valve manufacturer HERO, based in Hamburg and later relocated to Bad Oldesloe. Six years later, in 1947, and two companies officially became known as one: HEROSE.
