Coastal Welding Supply – A Field Report

Founded in Beaumont, Texas in 1963 by Al Mazoch, Coastal Welding Supply prides itself on being a single source for industrial and specialty gas requirements. As this second generation company, now headed by J.C. “Chuck” Mazoch, celebrates its 50th anniversary it continues its commitment to producing only the highest quality industrial gases and precision metal fabrication gas blends.

Coastal Specialty Gas, the company’s high purity and specialty gas division, focuses on ultra high purity carrier gases, and a full range of calibration gas and liquid standards, all of which are produced locally and are available for prompt on-time delivery. The Coastal Cryogenics Division provides engineering, installation, and repair of cryogenic equipment, bulk gas vessels, and gas distribution systems.

Coastal Welding Supply has eight locations servicing the petrochemical and metal fabrication markets of Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana. The Gulf Coast Market is driven by the Metal Fab, Medical, Timber, and primarily Petrochemical Industries. Recent advances in US natural gas production and product cost reductions have given the domestic Petrochemical producers some significant cost advantages, encouraging them to maintain and expand production of these products in the United States. Coastal Welding Supply and Coastal Specialty Gas have grown up in these industries and understand what it takes to supply and service these industries. Coastal’s broad array of industry expertise provides its customers with the products and support required to keep them competitive in an ever changing marketplace.

Coastal Welding Supply maintains one of the largest inventories of welding and specialty gases, welding equipment, welding consumables, welding supplies, safety supplies, and industrial tools in Southeast Texas/Southwest Louisiana. Coastal carries local stock of torches and regulators, welding rods and wires, plasma cutting equipment and safety supplies. The company’s factory certified service and automation technicians are available to assist with welding equipment and cutting system needs and Coastal has a staff of seasoned professionals in all areas of its operation. The company constantly offers advanced training to both its staff and its customers to stay on the cutting edge of new technologies and processes in its industry.
