Compressed gas engineering specialist Verigas was established under another business name over 35 years ago. In its current form, as Verigas, it was set up in 2017. It now has a renewed mission under Managing Director Rob Thorley, who took sole ownership two years ago, in 2023, after a financial restructure.
It is based in the St Neots, Bedfordshire, in the UK, at an 11,000 sq ft manufacturing facility with a similar-sized yard that provides plenty of space for trailers, cylinder bundles and larger projects. The company has a long history working on compressed gas projects with leading gas companies and a broader base of customers across the compressed gases value chain, delivering for Europe and the wider world.
Bespoke storage and more
“We’re now developing unique products alongside our customers for oxygen, medical, marine, and military applications,” says Thorley. “Alongside compressed gas manifolds, we’ve developed to design and manufacture complete storage and control equipment assemblies. Our storage projects started in 300 bar industrial applications under the EU’s Pressure Equipment Directive, but we’ve since grown into transportable bundles and much higher pressures. We’re currently very busy with equipment for hydrogen and alternative fuel projects. We have products in our pipeline targeting 1000 bar working pressure.”
