In 2011, Wright Brothers, a third-generation independent gas distributor, established Vendor Managed Gas (VMG) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Originating as a local enterprise, VMG now operates from its Cincinnati base to serve customers across the US and wider North America, catering to both distributors and major national gas accounts.

In the early days, the company’s vision was to create the industry’s first affordable telemetry system to help gas distributors to improve their operations. And the goal soon became a reality when VMG became the first gas telemetry business to make use of LoRa long-range RF technology, which allows users to have multiple monitoring devices all reporting back to a singular gateway.
