Naturally accumulated hydrogen, or white hydrogen, is gaining credibility today as a hydrogen source, while still being substantially unproven.

One start-up in Boston, established by five former Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) affiliated researchers, is now active in the market, but with a different take on things. The founders are taking inspiration from work that has already occurred in the white hydrogen space but applying a different approach.
